You’ve worked so hard, it’s time to celebrate your accomplishment! However, considering the impacts of COVID-19 on your college or university, it’s likely that you will be celebrating your commencement in a much different way. A commencement without an in-person ceremony and party with your peers and family can make us all feel as if we’re missing out. Here are some ways you and your loved ones can celebrate this milestone without putting yourself or others at risk:

Create A Graduation Montage

Put together a video clip of all your favorite memories from your academic journey. Include pictures, songs and videos of your friends, and your favorite memories. Creating this video montage is a great way to honor and celebrate your hard work while reflecting on the amazing times you’ve experienced along the way. Don’t forget to share your video and memories with your friends and family, tagging those who were with you every step of the way. If you’re not the best editor, you can use apps such as Tribute to create your special video. The best part about a montage is you can look back at it with pride for years to come!

Host A Graduation Parade

Live near a bunch of graduating seniors? Instead of a wild house party, organize a graduation day parade for you and your peers! Not only is this cost-friendly, but you also get to see your friends and family from a safe distance. Your entire neighborhood can join the fun and wave as you and the rest of the graduates drive-by with your caps and masks on.

You don’t need to stay 6 feet apart for this activity! Join the viral Don’t Rush Challengeand include your graduating peers. You can send in your clips of you changing into your cap and gown while using props like a mock diploma, or your textbooks to create a graduation edition of the viral Tik Tok challenge.
